Winter garúa fog from June to September wraps the cliffs in a moody grey mist that transforms the usual sun-drenched promenade into atmospheric, uncrowded walks — bring a warm layer and embrace the different aesthetic. Summer months (December-March) see the boardwalk at its liveliest, with street performers, outdoor fitness classes, and families occupying every bench and green space from early morning until well after dark. The annual Mistura food festival (typically September) draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to Lima's culinary scene — combine a boardwalk sunset with an evening at the festival for peak Limeño gastronomy.
